Wouxun.  Do consider their products for other brands of radios, I have used them and they are excellent.

This program is used to determine which Com Port a USB cable is assigned to.  After installing the driver for the USB cable, plug the cable into the computer.  
Windows should recognize this and set up the device.  You should only need FindComPort if there seems to be a problem with your software not 
finding the USB cable.

If you seem to have a problem, run FindComPort.  
The cable will respond with a report on all the used com ports on your computer.  You will hopefully see one that says
   
Com X   This port appears to be a cable without Echo Loopback.

The X will be the com port number your computer has assigned to your USB cable.  You can then set your software to use this com port.
